SHEFFIELD LAKE — Margaret F. Chulik, (nee Bozik), age 87, died Sunday October 26th following an extended illness. Mrs. Chulik was born in Lorain on March 28, 1921 and had been a Lorain resident for her entire life prior to moving into the Sheffield Lake home of her daughter eighteen months ago.

Marge was most recently employed as a billing clerk for Ohio Public Services. She had previously been employed as a clerk for the Central Bakery of Lorain; during World War II she had also served as a clerk on the Price and Rations Board.

She was an active attendee of First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lorain.

Mrs. Chulik was a member of A.A.R.P. Chapter # 3318 as well as a member of the Jolly 60's Club, the North Eaton Lunch Group, and the North Eaton Sunny Seniors. She was also a volunteer with the Lorain County Board of Elections.

Marge was regarded as an accomplished seamstress and tailor; she loved politics, crossword puzzles, and comedian Bill Maher. Her sense of humor never flagged.

She is survived by her daughters Denise Chulik of Sheffield Lake, and Jan Jones of Lorain, by her son John Chulik, M.D. residing in High Springs, Florida, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and sister Bernice Gorenshek (husband Leo) who resides in Lorain.

Mrs. Chulik was preceded in death by her husband John J. Chulik in 2001, by her parents Stephan and Pauline (nee Cauner) Bozik, by brother Edward Bozik, and by sisters Eleanor Bozik and Mary O'Melia.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain, where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday. The Reverend Kendal Lancaster, Chaplain of the Hospice of the Good Shepherd will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.

The family encourages memorial contributions to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2116 Dover Center Road, Westlake, OH 44145-3194.
