She was born in Jamestown on November 25, 1901 to Joe Garner and Maggie Hawkins Garner, both of whom preceded her in death.
Mrs. Garner is survived by three sons, Forrest Garner and Claude Garner, both of Jamestown and Vernon Garner of Russell Springs; one daughter, Nannie Garner of Jamestown. Eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren also survive.
She was a housewife.
Funeral services were held on Friday, October, 25, 1996 at 11 a.m. at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapels, Inc. with Bro. Clifford Spurlock and Bro. Billy Dunbar officiating.
Active pallbearers were Kim Pierce, Craig Pierce, Jeremy Garner, Scott Pierce, Ruth Houk and Anna Antle.
Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Garner, Roger Garner,Robert Garner, Roger Pierce, Darrell Pierce and Ronnie Loy.
Interment was in the Dixon Cemetery.
