Alice Bohannan was born 20 Dec 1896 at Metalton, the daughter of George and Emmeline Taylor Burks, and was married to Granville Bohannan. She joined with the Clifty Chapel Free-Will Baptist Church 5 Oct 1958. Mrs. Bohannan departed this life 11 Apr 1964 in the Madison County Memorial Hospital, Huntsville, AR.
She was survived by her husband, Granville; two daughters, Mrs. Bud Birchfield of Bentonville, AR and Mrs. Floyd Ball of Rogers, AR; one brother Jess Burks of Springdale, AR; four sisters, Mrs. Onie Littrell of Lowell, AR, Mrs. Julia Meeker of Springdale, AR, Mrs. Fred Evans and Mrs. Elsie Burk both of Eureka Springs, AR and twelve grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Clifty Chapel with Rev. Noel Easterling officiating.
