WW1 Service Australian Imperial Force Rank Lieutenant - Australian Infantry, A.I.F.

Albert was educated at Albury Grammar School NSW before going on to be a Newspaper Proprietor. He enlisted for WW1 on Feb 2nd 1916 and departed Australia from Melbourne on board HMAT A29 Suevic on June 21st 1917. After being wounded in action in France March 22 1918 , he was admitted to the No.1 Australian Casualty Clearing Station March 23rd 1918 & eventually returned to Australia on Board HT 'Ceramic' January 25th 1919.
He had been ill for 9 months with cancer before he passed away at Caulfield Military Hospital (No. 11 AGH) 7 months after returning to Australia.
Medals: British War Medal & Victory Medal for his service in France.
