Albert Browning

ETTA Albert Lowell Browning, 82, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto in Southaven. He was born Nov. 21, 1926, in Union County to Herman D. Browning and Lula Bailey Browning. He was a retired truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at United Funeral Service Chapel in New Albany with Elder Roger Browning officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.

Survivors include four daughters, Beverly Loomis (George), Deborah Knight and Robin Johnson, all of Horn Lake, and Rhonda Willard (Richard) of Etta; one sister, Ruby Jean Williams (David Ray) of New Albany; one brother, Milburn Browning of New Albany; six grandchildren; a special friend, Inez Hill of New Albany.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Bogue Browning; five sisters, Jewel Rakestraw, Ruth Russell, Dot Wilhite, Doris Tate and Inez Browning; and two brothers, Carlton Browning and Robert Browning.
