Actor. Born in Parma, Italy, he was one of France's most beloved character performers from the 1950s to the 1980s. He began his career in gangster movies, making his big screen debut in "Touchez Pas au Grisbi" (1953). A veteran of over 75 films, his credits include "Action Immediate" (1956), "Les Petits Matins" (1961), "The Adventures" (1967), "Le Silencieux" (1972), "Le Ruffian" (1982) and "La Rumba" (1987). He remained active until his death from a heart attack at the age of 68 in Saint Cloud, France.
