__Harry E. King "Big Harry," 53, of 310 Fifth Ave. SE, died Thursday, March 7, 1996, in Mercy Medical Center following a long illness. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Murdoch- Linwood Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Kay Sloccum will officiate. Burial: Linwood Cemetery.
__Survivors include his wife, Patty; three sisters, Mary Ella King, Barb Orton and husband Bill and Jean King, all of Cedar Rapids; a beloved niece, Lisa Marie Orton of Cedar Rapids; dear friends, Bob Irons and Ellen DeFevere; Ellen's daughter, Patricia Tomim; Patricia's 14-month-old son, Jessie Lee Tomim "Harry's Main Man"; and a beloved pet cat, Freddie.
__He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harry I. King Jr.
__Born Dec. 24, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, to Harry I. and Ruth Clement King , he married Patty Tschopp there on April 1, 1995. Harry was in the beer business and a member of First Lutheran Church.
__Harry was a very special long-awaited husband for Patty. He was the answer to her prayers.
__A memorial fund has been established.
