SHREWSBURY: Anne A. (Babonis) , 90, passed February 6, 2011.

Her husband of 49 years Joseph A. Taparauskas passed in 1988.

She is survived by three children, Mary Ann and her husband Elton " Jim " Smith of North Grafton, Joseph F. Taparauskas of Orwell VT, Claudia M. Boswell of S. Daytona FL; Two sisters, Helen Wrzesinski of Easthampton, Frances Quirk and her husband George of Guilford NH; 8 Grandchildren, 3 Great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Joseph, Alphonse and Anthony Babonis.

Mrs. Taparauskas was born July 28, 1920 in Worcester the daughter of the late Joseph and Domicella (Bakutis) Babonis and has lived most of her life in Shrewsbury. She was a clerk at the Shrewsbury Town Hall and then worked in the payroll department of Paul Revere Life Insurance Co. in Worcester until retiring.

Mrs. Taparauskas was a parishioner of St. Anne's Church and a graduate of Shrewsbury High School.

The family suggests memorial donations in lieu of flowers to St. Anne's Church Medical Clinic, 130 Boston Turnpike. Shrewsbury MA 01545.

Funeral Mass:
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Mrs. Taparauskas Wednesday February 9th at 10 am in St. Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike (Rt. 9) in Shrewsbury. Everyone will meet at the church there will be no gathering at the funeral home. She will then be laid to rest in Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester. There are no calling hours.
