Alice Alvera Blase
Alice Elvera Blase, daughter of Henry J. and Clara Blase, was born near Hordville, Nebr., on May 2, 1919. She was received in Holy Baptism in her infancy. She attended the Christian Day School throughout her school days.
She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on March 26, 1934, and in this faith she remained until her death.
Following an operation for appendicitis she passed away at the Lutheran Hospital in York, Nebr., on Sunday, June 14th, at the age of 17 years, 1 month and 12 days.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her mother, Mrs. Clara Blase, 4 brothers, Victor, Arnold, Gilbert, and Harold, all living in this community, 2 sisters, Mrs. Lydia Berges and Mrs. Hilda Parker of Big Springs, Nebr., 2 sister-in-laws, 2 brother-in-laws, 3 nieces, 1 nephew, besides many other relatives and friends. Her father preceded her in death in November, 1934.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 17, at 2 o'clock from the house and 2:30 from the Immanuel Lutheran Church. Interment was at the Lutheran Cemetery.
