ELDERLY LADY IS CALLED BY DEATH.--
Mrs. William Hardy, of Ashland street, passed quietly away Sunday evening. Although she had been declining in health for some time, her death came as a shock, for she had walked to the home of her daughter for dinner on Thanksgiving day. Mrs. Hardy was born in Steuben county, New York, about 76 years ago, and was the mother of James H. and T.F. Doran. The remains are being held by the Stock undertaking parlors pending arrival of a grandson, Vernon Doran, and a granddaughter, Mrs. C.C. Cole, of Oakland, Calif.
Though born in the extreme eastern part of the country, Mrs. Hardy was of pioneer instincts, and moved to the frontier, then in Minnesota. Later, the call of the west was heard and she and her husband came to the northwest. She had been a resident of Ashland for the past 15 years.
