Donna Lenz, 77, of St. James passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Center in Mountain Lake.
Donna Jean Wermerskirchen was born on July 28, 1933 to Frank and Leona (Berg) Wermerskirchen in St. James, Minnesota. She was raised in St. James and graduated from St. James High School in 1951. She attended Mankato Commercial College and after graduation worked at the ASCS Office in St. James until her marriage. On April 28, 1962 she was united in marriage to Raphael Lenz at the St. James Catholic Church. They lived in St. James following their marriage where she and her husband owned and operated Lenz General Construction. She was an active member of the St. James Catholic Church and Royal Neighbors. She enjoyed reading, country music, camping and her Minnesota Vikings. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Rita Lenz of Phoenix, Arizona, Thomas Lenz and his wife, Deanna of Overland Park, Kansas, Patricia Nelson and her husband, Mark Nelson of St. James; grandchildren, Andrew, Sydney and Elyssa Lenz and Heather and Michaela Nelson; brother, James Wermerskirchen and his wife, Donna of Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband Ray.
