Janice M. Lang, 74, of 104 Fairmount Ave., Liverpool, died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A native of Geneva, Mrs. Lang lived in Liverpool 53 years. She retired in 1980 after 29 years as a registered nurse with St. Joseph's Hospital. While at St. Joseph's, Mrs. Lang was supervisor of its out-patient department and utilization review department. She also started its first cancer registry.
Mrs. Lang was a communicant of Assumption Church, where she served as an Eucharistic minister, and was a member of its parish council and human development committee. She also worked in the church's food pantry.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Kenneth R.; two daughters, Barbara Rozyczko of Liverpool and Judith Schrage of Manassas, Va.; a brother, Ward Robbins Jr. of Geneva; a sister, Esther Jardine of Sebring, Fla.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 9:15 a.m. Thursday at Maurer Funeral Home, Liverpool, and 10 a.m. in Assumption Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 300 Second St.
