GREENVILLE — Estella VanVlerah-Forward, 92, Greenville,
passed away late Monday evening,
March 31, 1997, at Ionia County
Memorial Hospital, Ionia.
She was born April 4, 1904, at
Sidney, the daughter of William and
Edith Millard Olsen.
She had worked for many years as
a cook at the Gibson Refrigerator
Co. cafeteria.
She is survived by seven daughters and three sons-in-law, Margery
Goodwin, Edith Haines, both of
Cedar Springs, Elaine and Lyle
Barger of Palo, Rose and William
Burtt, Carolyn Kelley, all of
Greenville, Sue and Hugh Bristol of
Gowen, Anna Sisson of Stanton; one
son and daughter-in-law, Robert and
Joyce VanVlerah of Greenville; one
stepdaughter and two stepsons-inlaw, Muriel and Phillip Wise of
Greenville, Albert "Bud Kerns of
Harrison; two sisters, Goldie Cook
of Greenville, Florence Cook of
Sheridan; 38 grandchildren, 88
great-grandchildren, 82 great-greatgrandchildren and . four great-great-grandchildren.
was preceded in death by her
first Husband, Clemen VanVlerah;
her second husband. Friend Forward;
her father William Olsen; her mother, Edith F
on Pieck; two brothers, Jay Olsen,
Arthur Olsen; two stepdaughters.
Hazel Kerns, Mabel Madsen; three
sons-in-law, Robert Kelly, Kenneth
Goodwin, Howard Haines; two
granddaughters, Sharon Goodwin,
Bonnie VanVlerah; two great-grandsons, Derek VanVlerah and Gregory
Goodwin.
Funeral services will be Thursday
at 11 a.m. at the Brown-Teman
Funeral Home, Greenville, with Pastor Harry R. Johnson officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 7
to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial considerations may be
made to the Heartland Care Center
are available at the funeral home,
where the family will receive relatives and friends today from 7 to 9 p.m.
