James Robert Adington, 63, died Thursday at his home.

He was a lifelong resident of Big Stone Gap, a member of the D. A. V. Col. Hagy
Chapter No. 45 and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American
Legion.

He attended Deep Springs Baptist Church.

He is Survived by his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Gibson Adington, one stepdaughter,
Glenna Hayford of Somerset, KY; one stepson, Randall Millhorn of Dallas, Texas;
two sisters, Ruth A. GIbson, Sorrento, FL and Betty Adington, Salem, VA; one
nephew and two nieces.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 1:30 pm in the Holding Funeral Home
Chapel with the Rev. Hugh Bowers officiating. Burial followed in the Glencoe
Cemetery.
