Harold Leffler, a well known merchant in Benton for many years, died Saturday at Franklin Hospital, March 24, 1979.
He was born May 9, 1910 in Franklin County, to Gus and Anna Whobrey Leffler.
Mr. Leffler 68, of 333 South Main Street, had been a retail grocer and wholesaler of groceries and produce for 40 years.
He was a lifelong resident of Franklin County, and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Wyant Leffler; a daughter, Mrs. James (Betty) Mayer, Benton; a granddaughter, Mrs. Debra Davis, Benton; a brother, Edward Leffler, Springfield, Mo. and a half-brother, Ernest Allen, St. Augustine, Fl.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Anna Whobrey Leffler, and a half-brother, Whobrey Allen.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2pm at Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home in Benton. The Rev. Floyd Hale will officiate. Interment will be in Masonic and Odd Fellows Cemetery.
