"John Penn Brock, Esq., died at his summer residence at Lebanon, Pa. He was a son of the late John P. Brock, a wel-known wholesale grocer, and was descended from a family long identified with Bucks county. He was aged about fifty-eight; graduated at the University of Pennsylvania; studied law with William M. Meredith, and entered on a lucrative practice and assumed the management of the immense coal and iron estates inherited from his father, by the family. His residence was at No. 511 South Broad street and his offices were at Nos. 267 South Fourth street and 358 South Third street."
