After the fall of France during World War 2 - Sonya joined the resistance and carried messages to various Special Operations Executive Agents.
Sonya worked for the Juggler sub circuit of the Physician Network. She was captured in January 1944 and interrogated by the Gestapo and then sent to Fresnes Prison.
Later transferred to Natzweiler Concentration Camp, on the 6th July 1944, Sonya was injected with a lethal dose of phenol then incinerated in the Crematorium furnace
