Fredericksburg, Va., May 21.--Sylvanus Gresham, formerly of King and Queen county, died yesterday at the residence of Rev. W. J. Decker, Orange county, aged ninety years. He is survived by his widow and two sons. The body was brought here today and sent to Richmond for interment in the family burying ground in Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Gresham was a Confederate soldier, and was a member of the Home Guard of King and Queen county, which attacked Col. Dahlgren and his Federal troops when passing through King and Queen county, on their way to the gunboats on York River, after having been repulsed at Richmond, and Dahlgren himself was one of the number killed.
