Donald L. Trimmer, 79, of East Berlin, died Monday, March 22, 2010, at his residence.
He was born April 4, 1930, in York County, the son of the late Russel C. and Florence E. (Jacobs) Trimmer.
Donald served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, was a graduate of Biglerville High School, received his bachelor's degree from Susquehanna University, attended the University of Iowa and received his master's degree from Middlebury College in Vermont. He taught at Littlestown High School and Southwestern High School for 22 years, and was the head of the English department at Southwestern. He also taught at York College for 13 years, and was very active in the Hanover Little Theater and the dramatics program at Southwestern.
Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Adams County SPCA, 11 Goldenville Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325.

Gravesite Details
The headstone was originally inscribed with the names of Russell (Don's father) & Florence (Don's mother) Trimmer. After Florence died, Russ remarried and was later buried elsewhere. When Don died, a plaque with his name was placed over Russ's name.
