She married Darrell L. Hand on Nov. 28, 1966 at Chanute, Kansas.
She was a lifetime resident of Chanute.
She had been a teacher's aide at Murray Hill Elementary, and had also worked at Hutton school.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Chanute, KS.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; a son, Chad Hand, Chanute, KS; a daughter, Shonda (Hand) Mussulman, Chanute, KS; her mother, Ellen (Bower) Knock, and step-father, William Knock, Chanute, KS; father, Chester Huffman, Chicago, IL; a half brother, Tony Williams, Olathe, KS; a half-sister, Penny (Williams) Akridge, Chanute, KS; a step-brother, Bob Knock, Marrietta, OK; two step-sisters, Pam Knock, Kansas City, KS, and Roz (Knock) Phillips, Lenexa, KS; and three grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Father Michael Maybrier as celebrant. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Chanute, Kansas.
