British Army Soldier. His inscription reads "Sergeant Malcom MacFarlane, 9th Royal Scots, Died In Philadelphia While Serving His County, October 1, 1918, Aged 29 Years". The inscription on the top of his grave marker reads "There Is One Corner Of A Foreign Land That Is Forever Britain"

I was at Mount Moriah with a tour group in January 2002 and I was deeply touched by the sight of this young man's grave among all the American naval graves.

To have died so far from home....

"MacFarlane, Malcolm , 9th Royal Scots, Died in Philadelphia while serving his country. 10/1/1918, aged 28 years.

There is one corner of a foreign land that is forever Britain."
