Mrs. Angela Filkins Norton, 69, wife of Harvey J. Norton of Bethany Center died at 7:30 a. m., on April 19, 1947 at the Genesee Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since March 21. Death was due to coronary thrombosis.
Born Aug. 30, 1877, Mrs. Norton, was a daughter of Jerome H. and Mary Elliott Filkins and spent her entire life at Bethany Center.
The Nortons were married fifty years ago March 24. Besides her husband she is survived by 5 sons: Scott, Jessie and Albert of Bethany, James of Batavia and Rev. Floyd Norton of Owosso, Mich.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Wm. Embt and Mrs. Floyd Burrough of Bethany; 23 granchildren and two great granchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Bethany Center Baptist with Rev. Elmer Harris officiating and burial was in Maple Lawn cemetery, Bethany.
