I have some additional information on S.P. Collins. This is based on his birth year, which matches the 1860 Russell Co., KY census and known connections between the Collins family and William Dixon Lair who established this cemetery and is buried here.

I believe this is Stanton Pemberton Collins, son of Samuel Collins and Agnes Nancy Maxwell. Stanton's brother, Thomas Alexander Collins was my gggf. His son (my ggf Uriah Collins) and two of Stanton's sons, Cortez and Desota migrated from KY to TX about 1880. Uriah worked for Dr. William D. Lair when he arrived in TX. Stanton P. Collins and Dr. Lair appeared on the marriage roll together as witnesses.

Stanton P. Collins married Margaret Barger, born abt. 1836 in KY, probably in Russell Co. They were married 23 Oct 1856 in Russell Co., KY. Margaret's sister, Narcissus, married Dr. William Dixon Lair.

Stanton P. Collins was a land surveyor.

Stanton P. Collins shares a headstone with his daughter, Theresa E. Collins.
