She was born on 1 Jul 1902 in the Providence community of Old Milton County to the late Williams Samuel and Amanda Stover Etris.
She graduated from Roswell High School and received her teaching degree from Georgia State Normal. She lived on Etris Road in Roswell until she was 100 at which time she moved to Pageland, South Carolina to be with her son and daughter-in-law.
Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, William "Claude" Cook.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William "Corley" and Barbara Cook of Pageland, South Carolina; sister, Fannie Etris Holcombe of Alpharetta, Georgia; four grandchildren, Stanley Corley Cook (Monica Maxley) of Waxhaw, North Carolina, David Claude Cook (Shirley Havel) of Tucson, Arizona, Patricia Cook Wolfe (Don) of Dallas, North Carolina, Tyra Cook Skinner (John) of Wesley Chapel, North Carolina; 10 great-grandchildren , 5 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 2 Mar 2011 at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. Northside Chapel Funeral Directors, Roswell, Georgia.
