Lena J. (Fresina) Laurange, 91, of Syracuse, passed away Friday at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Canastota, she lived in Albany for many years before moving to Syracuse in 1966. Lena was very devoted to her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George Laurange, in 1975. Lena is survived by her two sons, George (Judith) Laurange of Liverpool and Mark Laurange of Syracuse; three daughters, Barbara Laurange of Syracuse, Linda (Frank) Squadrito of Liverpool and Donna (Ronald) Metz of Jordan, NY; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucy Tatosian of Westbury, Long Island, and Mary Ciampi of Loudenville, NY; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Tuesday in THOMAS J. PIRRO FUNERAL HOME, 3401 Vickery Rd. (corner of Buckley Rd.), N. Syracuse, NY, and 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompei/St. Peter Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Family and friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Lena's family wishes to extend a special "Thank You" to granddaughter Danielle, who gave her special care.
