Madeleine Victorine Bayard was born in Paris in 1911 - she served in The Special Operations Executive as Madeleine Barclay. The ship HMS Fidelity was originally a French Vessel which escaped to England and was used by S.O.E for clandestine operations in Vichy France.
Barclay joined S.O.E. and served as WRNS Officer on HMS Fidelity the ship was attacked in 1943 and all crew lost including Madeleine Barclay.
