Albert Beaty Dies at 77
Albert Marvin Beaty, 77, an Abilene resident since 1925, died at 1:45 am Tuesday at Hendrick Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 am at the University Baptist Church.
Officiating with be Dr. Sterling Price, pastor. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery under direction of Elliott's Funeral Home.
Mr. Beaty, who lived at 3065 Hickory St., was born July 10, 1879, Tallaposse County, Ala. He moved with his parent to Comanche County when he was 18.
On Dec. 10, 1902, he married Sarah Katherine Collins. She died Dec. 5, 1949, in Abilene. A daughter, Mary Lucille Campbell, also preceded him in death. She died in 1951.
Mr. and Mrs. Beaty moved to Oklahoma in 1918 and lived there until 1925 when they moved to Abilene. He was a retired farmer.
His survived by four sons, Collins of San Antonio, J. Truett of Corpus Christi, Burnice Z. of Muleshoe and B.Z. of 3065 Hickory St.: two daughters, Adell Beatty of the home and Mrs. A.E. Lewis of Muleshoe: nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sam Grissom of Comanche and Mrs. C.C. Cadenhead of Brownwood one brother, Houston of Comanche.
