Joyce Nelson Berry, 81 years old, peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver, WA. She was born on Nov. 20, 1929 in Charleston, SC to Cecil and Mae (Patterson) Nelson.

A 58-year Washougal, WA resident, Joyce enjoyed coin collecting, casino trips, estate sales and cooking. She will be remembered most for her love she had for her friends and family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Earl) Crandall of Camas, WA, Janet Berry of Florida and Wanda (Ken) Handley of Washougal; sons, Merle Berry of Washougal and Kenneth (Debbi) Berry of Carson, WA; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert Berry, in 2007.

There will be a graveside service for Joyce on Tuesday, March 1st, 2011 at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR. Viewing will be held on Monday, February 28th, 2011 at Brown's Funeral Home, 410 NE Garfield St., Camas, WA 98607.

Memorials in Joyce's honor may be sent to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), 424 E. 92nd St., New York, NY 10128-6804.
