FORT DEFIANCE — Funeral services for Lester Arviso Cadman, 69, will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Assembly of God Church, Fort Defiance. Burial will be in Fort Defiance Cemetery.
Cadman died Feb. 10, 2011, in Gallup. He was born Nov. 3, 1941, in Rehoboth.

Cadman graduated from Anadarko Indian School and attended Haskell Indian College. He worked in Oakland, Calif., Los Angeles, Calif. and the Navajo Nation. He played basketball, football in high school. He enjoyed being with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Clara Cadman of Fort Defiance; son, Manuel Cadman of Fort Defiance; daughters, Valyncia Cadman of Kansas City, Mo., Theresa Boyd of Fort Defiance; brothers, Everett Cadman, Timothy Cadman, Anthony Cadman, all of Twin Lakes, Kenneth Cadman of Albuquerque; sisters, Majourie Jones of Gallup, Isabelle Sleuth of Naschitti, Julia Agoody of Cornfields, Joann Damon of Twin Lakes; 24 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Cadman was preceded in death by his father, Jack Cadman; mother, Lillie Mae Cadman; brother, Ernest Cadman.

Pallbearers will be Manuel Cadman, Michael Boyd, Johnathan Boyd, McCulm Boyd, Albert Cadman, Levon Thomas.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Family Life Center, Fort Defiance, following services.
