Hamilton Evans, Jr. "Ham"
Age 55, of Wilmington, DE, went home to be with the Lord on February 24, 2011.
He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and attended the University of Delaware and Wilmington College where he received his Master's degree in Business Administration.
After spending several years at Sun Oil Company he became owner of his own business supply company and was currently employed at Alside Supply Co.
In his early teens his interest and talent in music became a focus in his life. As well as playing with local bands he was also involved in church music, remaining up to the present. He enjoyed Ocean City New Jersey with his family for many summer vacations.
Ham is survived by Elsie Evans; daughter, Dana Lynn; son, Hamilton, III and his wife Ashley and grandson, Nicholas (lovingly called "Little Punker"), mother, Leona Evans Brown; sister, Leona and her husband James Bonk and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Hamilton Evans, Sr.
Ham was very precious to his family and friends.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 1, form 9:30-11 am at the MCCRERY & HARRA FUNERAL HOMES, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilm., DE 19808 where a service will be held at 11 am. Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sunday Breakfast Mission, 110 N. Poplar St. Wilmington, DE 19801.
