Before retirement, he was executive vice president of United Shoe Machinery Corp.'s International Division in Boston.
He was a member of the Eastern Yacht Club, the Country Club, Tedesco Country Club and Riomar Country Club.
He was a graduate of Phillips Academy in Andover, MA and Harvard University in 1933.
