William N. Draper, 68, died at 3 p.m. Saturday in Cherokee, after a lingering illness.
William N. Draper was born March 25, 1877, in Birmingham, Iowa, and received his education in the Traer schools. He was married to Hannah Brakken in 1902 at Estherville and operated a barber shop here for 20 years. Later he was a salesman for the Fort Dodge products company and had been retired for 20 years.
Those who survive him are his widow, and three brothers, Elmer and Lue of Birmingham and Bert of Marshalltown.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Sternborg chapel with the Rev. John Cross officiating. Place of burial will be the Oak Hill cemetery. All barbershops will be closed Tuesday from 1:30 to 3 p.m. and the barbers will be pall bearers.
