It is noted that Johanna ???? (maiden name unknown) married Thomas Wiggins, Sr, a few years after he arrived in Rustdorpe, New York, in 1646 (then known as New Amsterdam). It did not become known as Jamaica, New York until about 1683. The approximate date of marriage was about 1649. Speculation is that Johanna is of Dutch Descent, due to her spelling of the first name.
