WOODLAND. (Yolo Co) Sept 12
The body of Clarence H. Evans, 43, 1228 K Street, Sacramento, who was drowned in the Sacramento River near Bryte while swimming Sunday, has been recovered a mile south of the point where he disappeared.
Funeral arrangements are pending in the McNary Funeral Home here.
Evans is believed to have been a native of Michigan. His mother resides in Grand Rapids, Mich. He was a blacksmith in the employ of the Southern Pacific Sacramento shops.
