Robert ‘Dock’ Gifford, 73, Flora, died at 9:45 a.m. Nov. 12, 1980 at his residence. Born in Prentice County Mississippi, on Dec. 15, 1906, he was the son of Robert and Emma Lodi Gifford. He was married to Ruby Rinehart, who survives. He was semi-retired as a watchman at Sayco Industries and a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Mississippi. Also surviving are one daughter, Clara Simms, Flora; two brothers, Terry Gifford and Jim Gifford, both of Mississippi; and one grandchild. One sister and three brothers preceded him in death. Services were held at Baker Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Saturday with burial at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
