Duree Elaine Zink Allen, 64, of Nampa, passed away at home on Sunday June 11, 2006 of cancer.

Duree was born in Caldwell, Idaho on Dec. 21, 1941. Her parents were Gail Lionel Zink and Albina Stroh Zink of Nampa.

She was a lifelong resident of Nampa. Duree was employed at the Idaho State School and Hospital for 34 years as the Human Resource Director, retiring in 1998. Although she was a career woman her family always came first. She was actively involved with her children in 4-H, sports and youth bowling. This involvement continued on as her grandchildren arrived. She never missed a school function or sporting event. She was known as "Mom" and "Grandma" to an extended family throughout the years, as her childrens' and grandchildrens' friends all considered her house a second home. Duree was an avid bowler for many years, never missing a chance to participate in a State or National tournament with her friends.

Duree is survived by her husband, David Allen Jr.; daughter, Tamera Henry-Steinlicht; daughter-in-law, Debbie (Justin) Bloomfield, all of Nampa; four grandchildren, Jeffery David "J.D" Henry, Jason Henry, David "D.J." Allen IV and Jessica Allen; one step-grandson Jake Bloomfield; mother-in-law Bessie Allen; four sisters, Marlene (Norman) Spann, Renton, Wash.; Sharon (Denton) Cash, Wauchula, Fla.; Vickie (Ivan) Fisk, Star, Idaho; Renee (Terry) Stewart, Kuna; Idaho; and two brothers, Rickey (Judy) Zink, Boise, Idaho; Michael (Eileen) Zink, Boise, Idaho.

Her parents and a son David Allen III, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2006 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Amity building on the corner of Amity and Chicago. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Alsip & Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Ave. South, Nampa, ID 83651; office: 466-3545 and one hour prior to the services at the church.
