Funeral services for Mr. James Matthew "Matt" Madden, age 25 of Ruston, LA will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston with the Rev. Greg Tipton officiating. Burial will follow in Simsboro City Cemetery in Simsboro, LA under the direction of Owens Memorial Funeral Home of Ruston.
Mr. Madden was born on January 10, 1981 in Shreveport, LA to John William Madden, Sr. and Wanda Loftin Madden. He died Wednesday, November 1, 2006 in Shreveport.
Matt was a business student at Louisiana Tech. He was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints and enjoyed golfing, playing cards, board games as well as video and computer games. Matt also enjoyed reading, swimming, and being with his friends. He always had a smile on his face and loved life.
Matt is survived by his mother, Wanda Loftin Madden and her fiancée Thomas L. Thomas of Phoenix, AZ, his two brothers John W. Madden, Jr. and wife Vonda of Dubach, LA and Mark Wayne Madden of Lafayette, LA; his niece Vivian Madden; his nephew Bryar Madden; and his two uncles Willifred LaMond Madden and wife Merlene of Jackson, MS, and William Henning Loftin, Jr. and wife Inka of Terry, MS.
He was preceded in death by his father John W. Madden, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Marshall Applewhite, Bobby Mounts, Bart Lewis, Adam Hohlt, Patrick Colvin, Paige Colvin, Brad Allen, and David Audrisch.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, November 3, 2006 at Owens Memorial Chapel in Ruston, LA.
