Obituary: Walter Adams
The Rev. Walter Thomas Adams, 66, of 4434 Burton Drive, Maiden, died Jan. 17, 2006.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. on Thursday at Center View Baptist Church. The body will lie in state, beginning 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 - 2:30 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
A native of Cairo, he was a Baptist minister who served churches in Williamston, Tuxedo Baptist and Center View Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Tilley Adams of the home; two sons, David Adams of Newton and William Eddie Adams of Maiden; two daughters, Jo Ann A. Finger of Maiden and Casey A. Richards of Granite Falls; two sisters, Letha Mae Cook and Katherine Brower; a half-brother, Carson Adams; three half-sisters, twins Kay Pratt and Fay Sellers, and Jill Quick; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
