Norman Haselhuhn, 87 years, 11 months, 21 days, of Rogers City passed away Friday, February 25, 2011. The son of Leonard and Gertrude (Kortman) was born March 4, 1923 in Rogers City.
Shortly after his birth, he was reborn a child of God through the Sacrament of Baptism at St John Lutheran Church by the Rev Ernest Ross and at the age of 14 was Confirmed by the Rev Louis Linn on March 21, 1937. He remained a life-long active member at St John Lutheran Church.
From 1944 until 1946 he served his country in the U.S. Army. After returning home he married Lois Horn on April 25, 1946.
He was an employee at U.S. Steel retiring in 1978. Norm was involved in many activities with his family, including square dancing, playing spitzer, being a leader in Boy Scouts and a Little League coach.
He enjoyed rebuilding Model A cars and showing them off in parades, and was always willing to go hunting, trapping and fishing with his son.

Norm was preceded in death by
...his wife Lois (April 9, 1998),

.......father Leonard (September 20, 1980) and
......mother Gertrude (May 23, 1993) and
...his brother Lawrence (March 29, 1945).
Visitation was Sunday, February 27, 2011, from 3-8 p.m. at Hentkowski Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation continued Monday at 10 until 11 a.m. funeral service at St. John Lutheran Church in Rogers City, with Rev. John Schreiber officiating.
Interment took place at Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors accorded by VFW Post 607.
