Solomon Perry Sublette Sr., son of Phillip Allen Sublette and Isabella Whitley, married his brother William's widow; Frances S Hereford, on May 21, 1848 in Independence, Jackson County Missouri. Frances was the daughter of Thomas Hereford and Esther Sale. Solomon and Frances had at least three children; Solomon Perry Jr., Esther Frances, and William Hugh. Solomon had four brothers; William Lewis, Milton Green, Andrew Whitley, Pinckney W, and three sisters; Sophronia Fullen, Mary L, and Sally.*
