GREENWOOD - Holman Garrard, age 90, died on Friday February 25, 2011 at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital of heart failure. He was born on April 07, 1920 to the Late: Moses and Alma (Teal) Garrard. He was born in Carroll County and resided in the Itta Bena and Greenwood area all of his life. He work for 25 years with Scott Butane and was owner of Garrard furniture in Itta Bena for over 20 years. He attended the North Park Church of God of Prophecy in Greenwood, and was an avid coon hunter, fisherman, and gardener.

Visitation will be held on Monday 02/28/2011 09:00 AM to 02/28/2011 11:00 AM at the Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood. Funeral Services will be held Monday 02/28/2011 11:00 AM at Williams & Lord Funeral Home with the Rev Daniel Baggett and Rev Robbie Wier officiating. Burial will be at the Centerville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Abernathy, Brad Garrard, Joby Kelly, Phil Davis, Jacob Garrard, and Drew Davis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roy Goss, Billy Gregg, David Teal, Harold Williamson, James Carpenter, Harvey Mosley Jr, Harold Johnson, Jimmy Shaw, Tom Earp and Dr Kenneth Hines and Staff.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Louise Garrard of Greenwood, MS. Son, Charles (Barbara) Garrard of Holcomb, MS. Son, David (Diane) Garrard of Olive Branch, MS. Daughter, Becky (Maurice) Williamson of Greenwood, MS. Daughter, Linda (Bobby) Abernathy of Bella Vista, AR. Sister, Lorene G. Jackson of Greenwood, MS. Sister, Pauline G. Reid of Winona, MS., 4 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Williams & Lord Funeral Home is in charge.
