Mr. Ruckstuhl was a United States Naval Veteran, formerly worked with Ruckstuhl and Fick Inc. General Contractors, a retired Civil Engineer with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, a graduate of Tulane University with a Masters Degree in Structural Design, Former Eagle Scout, past President of Pilney Little League, a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church where he was a devout member of the Holy Name Society, past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #5301 and was awarded The Order of St. Louis from Archbishop Alfred Hughes on May 1, 2005 in recognition of leadership and dedicated service to the church, in his parish and throughout the archdiocese of New Orleans.
