Paul Blair Miller Jr., 80, widower of Virginia (Black) Miller, of Shutterlee Mill Road, died on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

He was born on November 11, 1930, in Charlottesville, a son of the late Paul Blair Sr., and Courtney Marie "Polly" (Thomas) Miller.

Mr. Miller was a self-employed antique dealer.

He was a member of the Staunton VFW Post 2216.

He was a member of Jollivue United Methodist Church where he served on the Board of Trustees.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Everett Lee "Monk" Miller, who was killed in action in Korea.

Family members include a daughter, Mickie Miller of Nashville, Tennessee; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Miller of Staunton and Colonel Charles and Samantha Miller of Springfield; a brother and sister-in-law, Max B. Sr. and Goldie Miller of Staunton; two brothers-in-law and their spouses, Henry and Martha Black of Stuarts Draft and Richard and Edna Black of Roanoke; a sister-in-law, Julia Mae Smiley of Greenville; two grandchildren, Robert and Natalie Miller of Springfield; and a special friend, Libby Earhart of Spottswood.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2011, at Jollivue United Methodist Church by the Reverend Tom Reynolds and the Reverend Charles Ramsey. Burial will follow at Mount Carmel Presbyterian Church.

Active pallbearers will be Max Miller Jr., John Wright, Vic Douglas, Bart Black, Randall Black and Mark Hackett.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011, at the Henry Funeral Home.
