Mabel Ella Twilligear was the daughter of James Samuel & Mattie Wilson (Odom) Twilligear. Her sisters and brothers are Lela Marquettie, Myrtle I., Lola Mae, Vera Ellan, Pearl (twin sister of Earl), William Earl, Marvin James & Tony Virgil Twilligear. Mabel wed Johnnie Snider on January 28, 1941 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Aunt Mabel & Uncle Johnnie never had no children of their own.
