The Rev. Dr. Robert Newton Arbaugh, 94, Springfield, died on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011, in Elfindale Manor, Springfield. He was born Feb. 28, 1916, in Carmi, Ill., to Elijah and Jessie Lee Arbaugh. He grew up in Paragould, Ark. He married Mabel Lee Miller July 21, 1948. She preceded him in death.

He graduated from Duke Divinity School and served as pastor for several Missouri churches. After retirement he and his wife lived at the Ozarks Methodist Manor in Marionville for 25 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Arbah Lee Carlock, Marla Ruth Albright, Rama Nell Nixon; one son, Rob Arbaugh; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
