Television and Radio Personality. Cowan was the executive producer and producer for the television shows, "The Quiz Kids" from 1949 to 1951, "Down You Go" from 1951 to 1956, and "Ask Me Another" in 1952. He also created the $64 Thousand Dollar Question television series. In 1958 Cowan resigned his CBS leadership following a scandal about his conduct of television game shows. He died on November 18, 1976, in an apartment fire in New York City.
