Parents are Irving Stanley and Sarah Jeanette Caswell. First married to Charlotte "Lottie" Dolan in about 1907 in San Francisco, California. Son, John "Jack" Edward Stanley born on June 21, 1910 in San Francisco. Jack's birth certificate says Harry was working as a chauffeur in San Francisco, but Lottie was living separately with the William Jackman family employed as a housemaid. In June 1917, Harry registered for the draft (WWI), and listed his address as 1001 Post Street in San Francisco, working as a chauffeur for Joseph Hyman. He claimed his marital status was single and that he had no dependents. A month later, in July 1917, Lottie gave birth to Doris in San Luis Obispo. On her birth certificate, Harry is listed as the father, but his whereabouts are unknown. Harry evidently served in WWI. In the 1920 census, he is found living at 3028 Madison Avenue in Fresno with his sister, Cleo, and her daughter Zola. He is employed as a machinist for an oil company. In 1930, he is living in San Francisco at 1082 Union Street, with his wife of five years, Evelyn. From 1939 to 1970, he resides at 2160 Cedar Street in San Carlos, California, where he is employed as an operations manager for Tidewater Oil Company. He served as District Commander for the American Legion. On January 1, 1970, he fell and hit hit head on the pavement at 351 Torino Street in San Carlos. He is taken to Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, where he contracts bronchopneumonia, and dies on January 4th. His remains were cremated and interred at Skylawn Memorial Park. His death certificate identifies his widow as Mildred Martin.
