Funeral services were held at the Evangelical Free Church in Polk on Sunday, October 7th, for Gustaf Adolph Ehn, 60, who passed away at his home at Green City, Missouri, on October 3rd.

Gustaf Adolph Ehn was born at Ramnas Bruk, Sweden, June 7th, 1885 and passed away October 3rd, 1945 at Green City, Missouri. Mr Ehn, together with his parents, immigrated to America when he was only 11 months old. They came first to the town of Stromsburg. The family later located on a farm near Swede Home where Mr Ehn grew to manhood.

On March 24, 1915, he was united in marriage to Anna Matilda Swanson in Polk. This union was blessed with three children; two daughters and one son. The Ehn family made their home on a farm near Polk until almost five years ago, when they moved to Green City, MO.

Mr Ehn had never fully recovered from a major operation about two years ago. About two months ago, he suffered an attack which compelled him to go to bed, and he died peacefully at his home at 7 PM, Wednesday, October 3rd, 1945, at the age of 60 years, 3 months, and 26 days.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs Anna; two daughters, Bernice Anna and Myrtle Ruth; one son, Marvin Virgil; eight brothers and sisters, namely; Mrs Hilma Pearson of Grand island; Charley of Santa Anna, Calif., Mrs Hannah Olson of Moore, Idaho; Mrs Emil Samuelson, Joe Ehn and Mrs Walter Olson of Polk; also many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held October 5th at the funeral home at Green City, with the Rev Tate of the Methodist Church officiating. Services were also held on October 7th, at the Joe Ehn home in Polk and later at the Evangelical Free Church, with Pastor Milford E Olson in charge. Music was furnished by Mrs C O Rodine, Mrs W C Rodine and Mrs Milford E Olson. Interment was in the Polk Cemetery.
