L. S. SMITH, who lives near midway, was found dead in his bed at 6 o'clock Tuesday morning, November 25, by a grown son, Buster. Mr. SMITH had a heart attack about a week ago. He came here from Hollis, Oklahoma, a year ago and has been employed by N. Abraham on his farm 10 miles south of Canadian.
Mr. SMITH is survived by a grown son, Buster, and a 12 year old son, Jesse, and two grown daughters, Opal and Theresa. Opal made her home with her father. Theresa married about a week ago and is on her wedding trip to California.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, at 4 o'clock from the Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Fred Dawson in charge. Interment was made in the Canadian Cemetery.
