Mrs Henry Flowers, whose health had failed rapidly since the death of her husband last November passed away Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock, in a Cambridge hospital. Recently she had been a hospital patient for many weeks, and then had been cared for by her daughter, Mrs. Alma Dickerson, in the latter's home, on Central Main Street. A few days, before. her death, as her condition became worse, she was again taken to the hospital. She bad been suffering from a cardiac condition, dropsy, and other complications.
Mrs. Flowers was the former Margaret Burkhard, a daughter of the late George and Magdalena Weber Burkhard. She was born July 31, 1872 in Monroe County but had been a resident of Barnesville for many Years, She was a member of the Church of the Assumption, and will be remembered as a devoted w ife and mother, and kindly friend to many.
The survivors are her daughter Mrs. Dickson, two grandchildren William Dickson and Miss Margaret Dickson, two great-grandchildren, and a brother, G. C. Burkhard of Jerusalem.. A son, Wilfred Flowers, preceded her in death in 1943
The remains were taken to the Campbell Funeral Home, and on Monday morning to the Church of the Assumption where the funeral mass was conducted Monday morning at 10 by Rev. Father Rudolph Wargo. Burial was made in the Catholic Cemetery at Ozark.
